International audienceHow can we analyse multilingual writings ? The example of peasants note-books from Mali mixing French and Bambara. This paper analyses multilingual literacy practices in a post-colonial context marked by a variety of languages (French, the language of the former colony, the current official language ; Bambara, a vernacular and vehicular language, recognized as a « national language » ; Arabic, the main religious language).
